More about him here

Dear friends,

The second wave of Covid is now behind us and I am hoping business is picking up for all of you. My conversations with some freelancers and LSP owners across the country certainly seemed very reassuring in that regard. No matter at what stage of the recovery you are, I would like you to know that CITLoB has your back in these times, and we will do everything possible to support you in whatever way we can. So, do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is something you need help with.

Support in such times can also be in the form of creating more opportunities for our members. In that sense, apart from the webinars that have now become a near-monthly feature and our new-members and quarterly meets, we are planning our first Annual International Conference in the month of September. The Secretary of CITLoB, Asavari Tamhane, and the Secretary of CITLoB-ALP, Rasika Gumaste, will be in touch with you soon as we start planning that event and I urge you to get associated and help us make it a grand success.

Speaking of events, I hope you are following all the events we organise. We had a pretty interesting one hosted by Reverie Language Technologies that talked about the need and way to integrate technology in the services and solutions you deliver in order to stay relevant in these fast changing times. We also had one super interesting session by celebrated translator Subha Pande on literary translations. You can always visit on our official YouTube channel or refer to the latest issue of IndoVox in case you miss an event.

Before I end, I wanted to highlight the couple of reasons why this issue of IndoVox is special. Firstly, it marks the beginning of year two of our newsletter. Secondly, we now have a fresh new team helming matters. I am sure you will notice and appreciate the changes they have made to the look and feel. I am also sure the new team will continue to benefit from your support and participation as they try to infuse new life and energy into the content.

Keep participating and contributing and in the meantime, do take care of yourself and your families and stay safe. Happy reading and happy CITLoBing.
