CITLoB (Confederation of Interpreting, Translation and Localisation Businesses) is a not-for-profit language industry association. This organisation is run by an elected Executive Board consisting a President and five Vice Presidents, who are elected among members for a period of 2 years and work on voluntary basis.
CITLoB is the representative association of Indian language industry that brings together all stakeholders within the language ecosystem for better cooperation, learning, sharing and progress. Members include organisations and professionals from academics, research, language technology, localisation, translation and interpreting.
The members of CITLoB have been endeavouring to make content accessible in Indian and international languages, an objective aligned with National Translation Mission.
In addition to collaborations with world’s leading language industry association including GALA, ATC, EUATC, ELIA, AALC, JUNTOS, TINA, communities like Women in Localization, LocLunch and Indian trade and industry associations like FICCI, CITLoB is also actively engaged with international media and research organisations like Slator, Multilingual, Nimdzi, CSA Research, etc.
Recognised by Indian and international trade and industry associations, CITLoB members include organisations and professionals from academics, research, language technology, localisation, translation and interpreting.
