Chayn is a global nonprofit based in the UK, run by survivors and allies from around the world, creating resources to support the healing of survivors of gender-based violence. It creates open, online resources and services for survivors of abuse that are trauma-informed, intersectional, multi-lingual and feminist. It works across all forms of gender-based violence, especially domestic and sexual violence, and technology-facilitated abuse. Chayn has reached 400,000 people across the globe.

Bloom is a programme by Chayn, which informs and empowers survivors by offering remote courses that combine the insights of survivors globally on trauma and gender-based violence with therapeutic practices to heal from trauma. Tanvi Hegade, the Project Manager of Bloom – German, is happy to share that they have now added the 6th language to Bloom, in addition to English, Portuguese, French, Hindi and Spanish. The following courses are now available in German (https://bloom.chayn.co/de):

1. Society, Patriarchy and Sexual Trauma
2. Healing from Sexual Trauma
3. Dating, Boundaries and Relationships

This localisation project took place in collaboration with the dating  and networking application Bumble. Tanvi shares: “We are extremely proud to have created a significant resource to help survivors of gender-based violence and to have now made it accessible to German-speaking viewers across the world at no cost. What sets Chayn’s approach apart is that we flip the design default and place the experience of marginalised people at the heart of what we do, opening up access to our resources for all. And the courses have been put together by persons with lived experience and experts, putting the user at the heart of everything we do and offer. Chayn has also put together a global directory of helplines, organisations and government services that can support survivors.”
